Victorian 14kt Raised Diamond Starburst Locket 1.10ctw
An absolutely gorgeous locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This locket, which is made of vibrant 14kt yellow gold, has a raised 8-point starburst that sits on the front face. The starburst is comprised of 25 sparkling old European Cut diamonds, with the largest stone set in the center. This fantastic piece hangs from a complimentary diamond encrusted bail. The diamonds have an approximate total weight of 1.10ct tw. The locket opens from the left to reveal two photographs: one of a bearded man in a royal blue coat and the other of a woman with her hair pulled back, wearing a lovely burgundy jacket. This exceptional locket is a beautiful piece and would be perfect addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: The locket hangs approximately 2 1/4" long, is slightly more than 1 1/4" wide and 3/8" at the thickest point. The starburst on the face of the locket measures approximately 1 1/16" long and 7/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and all of the diamonds are intact.
