A lovely locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era. This beautiful 14kt yellow gold locket has a wonderful etched starburst design on the front with a single diamond set within in. The diamond, which is set within an 8-point starburst, is an old Mine Cut stone and has an approximate weight of 16ptw. The wonderful design is simple and has a great Victorian look. The locket opens to reveal a space for a special photograph and a piece of glass on each side. The back of the locket has the hand engraved initials "M.W.". This lovely locket would look lovely worn alone or with other lockets and pendants!
Measurements: The locket has a diameter of 1 1/4" and is 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. There are a couple minor dents in the surface of the gold on the front of the locket and normal surface wear to the gold on both the front and back. The locket closes easily and securely.
