$795

The citrine is a member of the large quartz family, a family which has a multitude of colors and various structures. The most desirable stones have a clear, radiant yellow to a warm, brownish-red tone.

A gorgeous citrine briolette necklace from the Late Victorian (ca1900) period! This lovely, feminine piece is comprised of 3 teardrop-shaped citrine stones that hang from a 14kt gold chain in a festoon fashion. The stones graduate slightly in size, with the smaller stones resting the outside, framing the larger stone at center. Each citrine displays a lovely pale golden yellow color and is faceted on both sides, catching the light beautifully when worn. The chain fastens in the back with a simple spring ring clasp. An incredibly beautiful necklace, it drapes elegantly along the neckline, and would look stunning worn day or night!

Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 16.5” long. The citrine stones range in size, with the largest stone hanging 1 1/2" long, and measuring 5/8" wide and and 1/2" thick. The two outer stones hang 1 3/8" long, and measure 1/2" wide and 3/8" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold chain or spring ring clasp, which is secure and in good working condition. All three citrine briolettes are intact and securely set. One of the stones has a very small chip on one side, which is minor and not noticeable when worn.
