Victorian 15kt Sterling Topped Diamond Sunburst Pin/Pendant 7+ctw
An exquisite diamond sunburst pin/pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning piece is comprised of 77 sparkling bead set diamonds that surround a single larger center Cushion Cut diamond which weighs approximately 1ct. The sunburst has 16 wavy rays, eight holding five diamonds and the rest four, giving a total overall carat weight to the piece of 7+ctw. The diamonds are set in a sterling silver topped 15kt yellow gold setting which was common style for the Victorian era. It has a wonderful convex shape and the diamonds sparkle beautifully. It can be worn as a pin or pendant and has a flip-down bail and a pin stem with a safety clasp on the back. It is a lovely piece and would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin/pendant measures approximately 1 1/2" tall and wide, with an approximate depth of 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the pin/pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and silver setting and all of the diamonds are intact. The pin clasp and flip-down bail are secure and in good working condition.
