$2,695
An unusual diamond trefoil pin/pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! French in origin, the brooch is crafted in 18kt gold, and has a 3-leaf clover design known as a "trefoil." Sparkling rose cut diamonds are belcher set in silver at the center of each round petal. Additional rose cut accent diamonds decorate the triangular stem at the base. Collectively, the stones weigh approximately .75 ctw combined. The surface of the piece is coated in glossy rich black enamel, which contrasts perfectly with the sparkling diamonds! A hidden bail is found on the back along with a bar pin and c-catch clasp, allowing the piece to be worn from a favorite chain or fastened to a garment. Stamped on the catch are small French hallmarks, which include an owl and a swan. A wonderful and artistic Victorian piece, it is perfect for the antique jewelry lover's collection!

Measurements: The trefoil pin/pendant measures 1" tall, 7/8" wide, and 3/16" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the pendant/pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The black enamel has only minimal surface wear, and is free of significant chips or scratches. The hidden bail and pin clasp are secure and in good working condition. There is a natural patina on the surface of the gold which is a normal given the age, and adds to the beauty and unique character of the piece.
