SKU: 39145

$10,995

An outstanding horseshoe bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This incredible 3-dimensional bangle is crafted in vibrant 18kt gold, and is quite substantial in both size and appearance. A large open horseshoe rests at the center, grasped between two overlapping "folds" where the band meets the centerpiece. Four luscious natural rubies are set within the face of the horseshoe, weighing approximately 2.00+ ctw combined. Delicate rose cut diamonds add further decoration to the front of the bracelet, providing a lovely sparkle! The diamonds weigh approximately .30ctw combined. The bracelet is hinged, and opens at the side where a push clasp is disguised within the band. Perfect for the equestrian enthusiast or antique jewelry lover, this spectacular bracelet would make an impressive statement piece!

Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where your wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 3/8" wide and 2" tall. It would fit nicely on a medium/average sized wrist. The horseshoe centerpiece measures 1 1/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall. The gold band measures 3/8" wide. The total pennyweight of the piece is 21.8 dwt (33.9 grams).

Condition: The bracelet is in excellent antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The clasp fastens securely and the hinge remains in good condition. One small rose cut accent diamond has been replaced, restoring the piece to its original design. The remaining diamonds and all four rubies are intact and original to the piece. There is a natural patina on the surface of the gold, which is normal for Victorian jewelry and adds to its beautiful antique appearance.
