A beautiful moonstone pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This alluring piece is made of 14kt yellow gold and features a single, round moonstone prong set in the center. The moonstone is delicately hand carved to portray a "Man in the Moon" face, which has intricately carved facial features for a realistic 3-dimensional look. The moonstone displays a wonderful translucence and is set in an open backed setting, which allows light to pass through. Accenting the outside of the moonstone face are 4 old Mine Cut diamonds, which add a beautiful sparkle. A very beautiful Victorian piece, it would look perfect for everyday wear and would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant and bail hangs 3/4" long, is 1/2" at the widest point and has a depth of approximately 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the carved moonstone and all 4 diamonds are intact.
