A wonderful continental silver chain from the late Victorian (ca1900) era! Extremely long in length, the necklace is comprised of lovely silver links, which have a simple but beautiful flower design. Thin, ellipse-shaped links with an engraved floral design alternate with small flower-shaped links to form an extremely long 60" chain necklace. At the center of the chain is a spring clasp, which makes it easy to double the chain or to attach a complimentary pendant or locket. One of the links near the clasp is stamped "800". It is a beautifully made piece and would be perfect paired with other necklaces or a Victorian locket or pendant.
Measurements: The entire length of the chain measures 60" long. The ellipse links measure approximately 2/3" long and slightly less than 1/4" wide. The joining flower links measure slightly more than 1/4" in length.
Condition: The overall condition of the chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver links or to the clasp, which fastens securely and is in good working condition.
