Vintage Large 18kt Gold Diamond Modernist Style Ring
A fabulous and unique two-tone Modernist-style Vintage ring from the 1970s era! This 18kt yellow gold piece with white gold accents is particularly large in size and features a fantastic 3-dimensional design. The ring is comprised of a wide, smoothly polished band which graduates in width around the back and flares outwards at the front with a narrow opening in the center. Two white gold "straps" curve over the opening, "pinching" the band together, and creating a fabulous mixed metals appeal. Sparkling accent diamonds line each strap and rest in an etched starburst setting, each one catching the light beautifully with every turn. The flared design rests relatively high, while the rest of the band hugs the finger, forming a unique and striking profile when worn. Finishing the piece is an "18K" gold purity mark besides an "LJ" maker's mark stamped inside of the shank. A substantial and bold ring, this fabulous Vintage piece is perfect for the fashion-forward woman's jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.75, but could possibly be resized slightly. The design at the front measures about 7/8" tall, and rests about 1/2" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures 4.5mm at the back. The overall pennyweight of the ring is 10.2dwt (15.9 grams).
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
