Edwardian Platinum & Diamond Necklace 3+ctw
A striking diamond drop pendant necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This wonderfully feminine piece has a flowing curvilinear shaped design that is accented with old Mine Cut diamonds. With fine 14kt white gold chain, this exquisite piece has a striking elongated pendant which rests at the center of the piece. Made of the platinum, 2 flat, teardrop shapes, which are hinged in 3 separate places, loop through and extend down the center. At the end of the longer drop shape is a circular pendant which is also encrusted with diamonds and detailed with a larger diamond hanging from the center. This larger center stone has a total weight of 0.74ctw, H color, and a clarity of SI1 (this stone has a GIA certification) and the overall diamond weight of the piece is 3.00+ctw. The piece attaches to a fine white gold chain, which is stamped “750” on the clasp. The necklace comes with an appraisal from an independent and accredited GIA certified Gemologist. A unique and exceptional piece, the necklace would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurement: The entire pendant hangs 2 1/4" long, is 2 1/2" wide, and has a depth of less than 1/16". The chain measures 16" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or gold chain and all of the diamonds are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
