Art Deco 14kt Step-Up Diamond Engagement Ring .22ct- On Hold
A stunning diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This platinum ring has a beautiful "step-up" mounting that features a .22ct old European Cut diamond in the center. The stone rests in a square prong setting, and has I color and SI1 clarity. A square border surrounds the center stone, and delicate "steps" rest at each shoulder, which are lined with delicate single cut diamonds. The accent diamonds weigh approximately .028ctw and have H-I range color and VS2-SI1 range clarity. Completing the design is a filigree cutout pattern along the edge of the setting, and a smooth tapered band in the back. The ring is accompanied by an appraisal issued by an independent and accredited GIA certified Graduate Gemologist in February 2017, which has a stated retail replacement value of $1,500.00. A wonderful Art Deco piece, it would make a simply gorgeous engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a generous finger size of 8, but could be resized if needed. The square-shaped centerpiece measures 7mm across, and the tapered band is 1mm wide in the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting or to any of the diamonds, all of which are intact and securely set.
