Art Deco German Silver Moss Agate Ring
A beautiful and unusual moss agate ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This wonderful ring frames moss agate stone within a simple German silver (.835 purity) mounting. The smoothly polished agate is translucent, displaying dark forest green inclusions throughout that are mossy in shape, almost appearing to "float" within the stone. Surrounding the agate cabochon is a smooth open-back bezel, which has a decorative filigree pattern below the gallery. Completing the design is a smooth band, stamped ".835" inside the shank. A naturally beautiful ring, it would make a special addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.5, but could be easily resized if desired. The moss agate centerpiece measures 3/4" long and 1/2" wide. When worn, the moss agate rests approximately 3/8" above the finger. The silver band measures 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the German silver setting or to the moss agate stone, which is intact, securely set, and free of chips or scratches.
