Art Deco Platinum Sapphire & Marquise Diamond Ring 1.00ct
A gorgeous diamond and sapphire ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Made of platinum, the ring frames a sparkling marquise diamond at the center of a sapphire border. The central diamond weighs 1.00ct, and has K color and VS2 clarity. Lining the shoulders of the band are 8 additional accent diamonds, which weigh approximately .12ctw combined, and have H-I range clarity and SI range clarity. Fine hand-engraved detail travels along the sides and edges of the mounting, adding further beauty and elegance to the design. The synthetic calibrated sapphires that form the border add the perfect pop of deep blue color! Stamped inside the shank is a small maker's hallmark that appears to read "KOHN." The ring was appraised in September 2017 by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist, and has a stated retail replacement value of $6,000.00. The design is positively breathtaking in person, and could make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 4.25 but could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the diamonds are intact.
