Art Deco Platinum Step-Up Diamond Engagement Ring 0.80ct
A stunning diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This platinum ring has a beautiful "step-up" mounting that frames a .80ct European Cut diamond at the center. The diamond rests in a square prong setting, and has I color and SI1 clarity. Surrounding the center stone is a pave diamond border, which extends to the rows of "steps" that travel down each side of the mounting. There are 24 single cut diamonds that decorate the setting, which weigh approximately .35ctw combined, and have H-I range color and VS range clarity. Completing the design is a swirled filigree pattern along the edge of the setting, and a smooth tapered band stamped "PT900" inside the shank. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA certified gemologist in February 2017, and has a stated retail replacement value of $3,500.00. A wonderful Art Deco piece, it would make a simply gorgeous engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6, but could easily be re-sized up or down. The band measures 2mm wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to any of the diamonds, all of which are intact.
