Art Deco Silver Carnelian & Marcasite Ring
A beautiful carnelian and marcasite ring from the Art Deco (ca1930) era! This wonderful ring is crafted in silver, and has an artistic design that is very exemplary of the Art Deco aesthetic. Resting in the center is a smooth carnelian cabochon, which is polished into a smooth oval shape and has a wonderful translucent orange color. The carnelian is surrounded by a decorative border lined with sparkling marcasite stones. A simple and smooth band connects to the elongated centerpiece, completing the striking design. Stamped inside the shank is "SILVER." An unusual ring with a fantastic design, it would make a wonderful everyday accessory for the vintage jewelry lover!
Measurements: The ring has an approximate finger size 6, but could be re-sized up or down if desired. The carnelian and marcasite centerpiece measures 3/4" tall, 3/8" wide, and rests 1/4" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting, carnelian cabochon or marcasite stones, all of which are intact and securely set. There is a natural patina that gives a darkened appearance to the silver setting, which is normal for vintage jewelry and adds to its natural beauty and character.
