Art Deco Sterling Moonstone Filigree Drop Earrings
A lovely pair of moonstone earrings from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! These artistic earrings are crafted in sterling silver, and have an elongated drop design. At the base is a circular link, which holds a moonstone cabochon at the center. The moonstones have an alluring appearance, thanks to their pearly pale blue color and iridescent flash. Surrounding each stone is a scalloped filigree border, with arrow-shaped cutouts that fan out from the center. The links at the base dangle from slim bar links at the center. Completing the design are round sterling toppers attached to sterling wires. When worn, the earrings frame the face nicely and dangle with lovely movement. They would make a wonderful everyday accessory!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 5/8" in total length. The links at the base have a 1/2" diameter and measure about 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or to the moonstone cabochons, both of which are intact and secure. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver, which is a normal characteristic of antique and vintage jewelry.
