A lovely and unusual pair of earrings from the Art Deco (ca1930) era! Each sterling silver earring frames a natural turquoise stone at the center of a marcasite border. The turquoise stones are bezel set and smoothly polished, exhibiting a gorgeous sky blue color with subtle natural inclusions. The delicate pave marcasite stones add a beautiful sparkle! Completing the design are complimentary marcasite surmounts attached to simple wire tops. When worn, the earrings frame the face beautifully and dangle with lovely movement. They would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 1/2" long, measure 9/16" at the widest point, and are 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. The turquoise stones are securely set and free of chips or scratches, and the marcasite stones are intact. The earring wires are secure and in good condition. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver, which is a normal characteristic of vintage and antique jewelry.
