Early Retro Platinum Diamond Encrusted Ring 4.20ctw
An outstanding diamond encrusted ring from the early Retro (ca1930s) era! This phenomenal statement piece is crafted in platinum, and has quite a substantial design. The rectangular-shaped centerpiece is completely encrusted with sparkling diamonds, which form an asymmetrical pattern that is both stylish and daring! Collectively, the diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of 4.20 ctw combined.
The largest stone is bezel set at the center, which is a 1.25ct Mine Cut diamond with I color and VS clarity. The 4 smaller Mine Cut diamonds that are bezel set throughout the mounting weigh 1.40ctw combined, and have I-J range color and SI2 range clarity. The remaining diamonds that cover the surface of the setting include a combination of Baguette, Trillion, Step Cut Square, Mine Cut, and Single Cut diamonds. These diamonds have a combined carat weight of approximately 1.56ctw with I-J range color and VS-SI range clarity. Completing the design is a smooth band, which is stamped "10% IRID PLAT" inside the shank. The ring is positively dazzling in person, and makes quite a glamorous accessory that would be perfect for special occasions!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.75, but could easily be resized if desired. The rectangular centerpiece measures 7/8" tall, 5/8" wide, and 1/4" high. The band measures 1.5mm wide in the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
