Edwardian Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring 2.19ct
A breathtaking diamond engagement ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Made of platinum, this stunning ring features a gorgeous 2.19ct old European Cut diamond at its center. The stone is elevated within a 6-prong setting, and has L/M range color and SI2/I1 range clarity. The shoulders of the mounting are accented with 4 sparkling Single Cut diamonds, which are bead set and surrounded by delicate milgrained detail. The accent diamonds display H-I range color and VS range clarity, and weigh approximately 0.08ctw combined. Elegant hand-engraved details and filigree cutouts with fine scrolls decorate the sides of the setting, adding further beauty. A smooth, tapered shank in the back completes the design. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in November 2018, and has a stated retail replacement value of $12,000.00. An outstanding vintage engagement ring, it has both a classic style and timeless beauty!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.75, but it could be re-sized up or down. The central stone rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to any of the diamonds, all of which are intact.
