Edwardian Platinum Square Sapphire & Diamond Filigree Ring 2.25ct
A spectacular sapphire and diamond ring from the Art Deco era (ca1920s)! Crafted in platinum, the ring frames a deep blue sapphire stone at the center of a decorative mounting. The sapphire is square-shaped and bezel set, weighing approximately 2.25ct. Delicate accent diamonds cover the surface of the mounting in a fine pavé setting, adding a wonderful sparkle! Collectively, the diamonds weigh approximately .50ctw. Completing the design are elegant filigree cutouts and fine milgrain detail, and a smooth tapered band in the back. A "PLAT" stamp can be found inside the shank. A simply stunning gemstone ring, it would look fantastic worn on special occasions, or it could make a unique engagement piece!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.5, but can be re-sized. The sapphire centerpiece measures approximately 3/8" tall and wide, and rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. The center sapphire and accent diamonds are intact and securely set.
