Late Victorian 9kt Emerald + Enameled Dog Charm/Pendant
A delightful dog charm from the late Victorian (ca1900) era! The 9kt gold pendant showcases an endearing dog, who is perched upon a bar at the center of an open circle. The white enameled dog is complete with lovely gold accents depicting its fur, collar, ear and eye outlines. Below the dog is delicate bezel-set emerald, displaying a vibrant green shade that adds a wonderful pop of color. Attached to the top of the piece a simple gold bail, perfect for hanging the piece from a favorite chain or charm bracelet. Stamped on the back of the setting is a hallmark that reads "FROV". A wonderful and whimsical piece, it is perfect for any dog lover and would make a lovely addition to any charm collection!
Measurements: The piece hangs approximately 1 1/16" long (including the bail), measures 3/4" in diameter, and is approximately 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, enameled detail, or emerald stone, which is secure and intact. The bail is intact and securely attached.
