Victorian 10kt/Silver Rose Cut Diamond & Ruby Dog Ring
This rare and unusual dog ring is a wonderful piece from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in 10kt rose gold and silver, the centerpiece depicts the face of a charming dog. Delicate rose cut diamonds encrust the surface of the dog's face, while two luscious rubies depict its eyes. Each stone is bezel or micro prong set, adding a wonderful sparkle to the elaborate design! Rose gold accents represent the dog's nose, hanging tongue, and the buckled collar around the neck. The dog's head is riveted into a silver backing, and rests above a smooth rose gold band with pillar-style shoulders. A spectacular Victorian ring, it is perfect for the dog lover or serious antique jewelry collector!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7, but could easily be resized up or down as desired. The centerpiece measures 3/4" tall, 5/8" wide, and rests approximately 3/8" high. The gold band measures 2mm wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and silver setting. All of the rose cut diamonds and rubies are intact and securely set.
