Victorian 14kt Double Link Chain Necklace w/ Extender
A wonderful gold chain from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This handmade 14kt gold chain is comprised of double links that interlock to form a stylish necklace. Each polished link forms the shape of an open ring with beveled edges.
The chain has an adjustable feature thanks to a matching extender, which is incorporated seamlessly into the design. The detachable section of chain can be easily removed if a shorter length or style is desired. A spring ring clasp can be found at the end of the chain and at one end of the extender, each stamped "585." Whether worn alone or with a paired complimentary locket or pendant, this necklace provides the wearer with many options. A beautifully made piece, it would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The entire length of the chain measures approximately 20.75" long, including the extender. When worn without the extender, the chain measures 17.25" long. (The detached extender measures 3.5" long.) Each chain link measures approximately 1/4" in diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to any of the gold links, and both spring ring clasps are secure and intact and in excellent working condition.
