Victorian 14kt Etruscan + Moonstone Dangle Earrings
A wonderful pair of Etruscan earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, each of these beautiful earrings features a rectangular frame surrounding a gorgeous moonstone at its center. The moonstone cabochons display a lovely iridescent quality, with soft pale blue flashes that catch the light when worn. The stones are bezel-set, surrounded by fine roped detail. Decorating the rectangular frame is fine Etruscan wirework detail at each corner, with graduating gold beads emerging from the sides. Additional delicate Etruscan wirework details can be found on the top and bottom of the frames, which hang from fleur-de-lys shaped surmounts. Securely clasped wires at the top complete the dangling design. Marvelous and very Victorian, these stunning earrings would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 3/4" long, measures 5/8" wide, and 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, Etruscan wirework details, or moonstones, which are intact and securely set. The surmounts and earring wires are secure and in great condition.
