Victorian 14kt Etruscan Wirework Vessel Earrings
Fantastic gold earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring is made of 14kt yellow gold and is beautifully decorated with delicate Etruscan wirework and beadwork. The earrings, which have a 3-dimensional torpedo shape, hang from a gold ball surmount which is attached to the simple gold wires. A graduated Etruscan wirework design flows down the front of each earring beautifully. Very lightweight and comfortable to wear, these marvelous earrings would be great worn day or night.
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 3/4" long, is 3/4" at the widest point and 3/8" in depth.
Condition: The earrings are in good antique condition. There is some light surface wear to the gold setting, including a few minor dings to the gold on the back. However, this isn't noticeable when worn, and is common for a piece of this age. The Etruscan wirework remains intact and in excellent condition. The surface of the gold surrounding the wirework design has a natural patina, which adds to the richness of the earrings.
