Victorian 14kt Gold & Pearl "Folded Fabric" Stud Earrings
A beautiful and unusual pair of stud earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! These earrings are crafted in vibrant 14kt gold and have a 3-dimensional design. Each earring has a folded fabric motif, which is secured in place with a pearl "pin." The surface of the folded fabric is adorned with fine etched detail and applied wirework accents, adding wonderful texture. A secure gold post rests on the back of each earring, completing the artistic design. When worn, they make a fun and unique pair of everyday antique studs that are perfect for the Victorian collector!
Measurements: Each square-shaped earring measures 1/2" across and is 5/8" at the longest point (measuring diagonally).
Condition: The earrings are in good antique condition. There is some minor surface wear to the piece, which is commensurate with age and not noticeable when worn. Both pearls are intact, and the posts are earrings backs are secure. There is a natural patina on the surface of the gold setting, which is normal for Victorian era jewelry.
