Victorian 15kt Onyx & Enamel Bangle Bracelet
A gorgeous bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! The bracelet is made of 15kt rose gold (indicating English origin), and has a simple, yet very stylish design. The black color scheme suggests that it may have originally been worn as mourning jewelry. On the front of the bracelet is a single row of faceted onyx stones in a channel setting. The onyx stones have a rich black color and are square with a raised face, forming a pyramid-shaped stud. The opposing side of the bracelet is decorated with smooth black enamel surface, complimenting the onyx perfectly. The bracelet is hinged and clasps on the side, where a safety chain is incorporated within the design for added security. Both versatile and fashionable, this bracelet could be worn alone as an everyday accessory, or stacked with complimentary bangles for a layered look. It would make a stylish addition to any collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2" wide and 1 3/4" tall and would fit nicely on a small sized wrist. The surface of the bracelet measures slightly more than 1/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. There is some light surface wear to the enamel on the back of the bracelet, which minor and not noticeable when worn. All of the onyx stones are intact. The clasp and hinge are secure and in good working condition, and the safety chain is intact.
