Vintage Modernist German Silver & Coral Bracelet
This vintage German silver bracelet is a wonderful example of the Modernist movement's aesthetic! The visually striking piece has a hand wrought design comprised of curved panel links. The links hinge together with simple loop connectors, forming a straight but flexible bracelet that wraps comfortably around the wrist when worn. Decorating the surface of the piece is an pattern of raised curvilinear shapes in silver. They contrast beautifully with the oxidized background, a beautiful blend of light and dark. Interspersed throughout the design are multiple coral cabochons, which are bezel set and provide a gorgeous pop of rich natural color! The two ends of the bracelet meet at a push clasp, which is stamped "835" and disguised within the final link. A safety chain at the side provides extra security, and can be opened with a simple spring ring clasp. When worn, the bracelet drapes beautifully around the wrist and could be worn alone or grouped with other similar pieces for a layered look. It would make a fabulous everyday accessory for the modern woman's collection!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7 1/2" long and would fit nicely on a medium to large sized wrist. Each panel link measures 1 1/4" long and 1/2" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. All of the links are securely connected, and all coral cabochons are intact. The clasp and safety chain are both secure and in good working condition. Besides the oxidized background, there is an natural patina on the rest of the bracelet, which is normal for vintage jewelry and adds to its depth and unique character.
