Art Deco 14kt Aquamarine Briolette Diamond Necklace
This stunning aquamarine briolette necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era is a true beauty! Made of 14kt white gold, this lovely necklace has an elegant filigree design comprised of a drop extension that hangs from a complimentary chain. The clear blue aquamarine briolette that hangs at the bottom of the extension is faceted on both sides and catches the light beautifully when worn. The teardrop aquamarine is clasped within a decorative bail that dangles from a lovely filigree wirework center link. Adding to the beauty of the design is a single sparkling diamond that rests in the center of the filigree link. Fine milgrain detail along the wirework and chain adds a delicate touch. The chain fastens together in the back with a simple clasp marked "14KT." This elegant and feminine piece would make a stunning addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain of the necklace measures approximately 15.5" long. The extension in the center hangs 2" long from the top of the filigree link to the bottom of the aquamarine briolette. The aquamarine briolette itself hangs 1" long, measures 1/2" at the widest point, and is slightly more than 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting or to the aquamarine briolette stone, which is intact and free of chips or scratches. The diamond is also intact. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition.
