Art Deco 14kt Camphor Glass & Diamond Filigree Ring
A beautiful camphor glass ring from the Art Deco period (ca1920)! The ring holds a rectangular camphor glass plaque at the center of a 14kt white gold mounting. A carved pattern on the back of the crystal shows through to the front as a subtle starburst motif, with rays that fan out from the center. A delicate single cut diamond is riveted into the center of the plaque, adding a wonderful sparkling detail! Fine filigree wirework covers the sides and shoulders of the basket setting, complete with lacy cutouts and engraved detail. Charming mixed metals accents add yellow gold and rose gold hues to the design. Stamped inside the tapered shank is "PAT. PEND. 14KT." A lovely Art Deco era piece, it would make a special addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7.5, but could easily be re-sized. The centerpiece measures 5/8" tall, 1/2" wide, and rests 3/8" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold filigree setting or mixed metals accents. The camphor glass plaque and diamond are intact and free of chips or scratches.
