Art Deco 14kt Enamel & Carved Jade Ring
A wonderful jade ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This lovely ring is made of 14kt yellow gold and features an artistic jade plaque that rests in the center of a decorative enamel mounting. The jade displays a beautiful natural green color marbled with pale milky hues throughout. The hand-carved surface represents a swirled floral motif on the surface. Surrounding the jade plaque is an enamel design comprised of blue and green wave-like swirls, and a geometric design at each shoulder. Completing the design is engraved detail along the band, and delicate gold leaves that adorn the shoulders of the ring. The shank tapers in towards the back and is stamped "14" inside, along with a small hallmark symbol. A very special Art Deco era piece, it looks fabulous when worn and would make a unique addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7.5, but could be easily resized if desired. The oval centerpiece measures 7/8" tall and 5/8" wide.
Condition: Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or jade plaque, which is intact. However, there are some areas on the enamel design that are gently worn which can be expected from a ring of this era. This does not distract from the beauty when worn.
