Art Deco 14kt Hand Carved Jade Earrings
A beautiful pair of carved jade earrings from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, these stunning earrings are of Chinese origin and feature a wonderful floral design. Each features a large, teardrop-shaped jade plaque, which has an ornate hand-carved image reflecting its Chinese origin. The elongated carved link attaches to a Deco-inspired gold topper and hangs from a gold bar connector which rests at the bottom of the complimentary jade surmount. The prong-set surmount portrays the shape of a wonderful blooming flower and attaches to 14kt yellow gold earring posts, completing the lovely design. The jade has brilliant green color with a varying, marbled appearance which darkens towards the bottom. When worn, the earrings hang long and frame the face beautifully, making them a fantastic statement piece!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/4" in total length. The larger carved jade plaques measure 1 5/8" long, 3/8" wide, and 1/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or posts and the carved jade plaques are intact and free of chips or scratches.
