Art Deco 14kt Large Hand Carved Jade Ring with Floral Motif
A fantastic jade ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in vibrant 14kt yellow gold and features an artistic jade plaque that rests in the center of a decorative wirework mounting. The jade displays a wonderful, rich green color with a subtle milky hue marbled throughout and the surface is intricately hand-carved with soft cutout shapes that depict a beautiful floral motif. The jade is held within a scalloped prong setting and delicate gold flowers and leaves encircle the centerpiece, carrying seamlessly onto shoulders of the ring. A very special Art Deco era piece, it looks fabulous when worn and would make a unique addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has small finger size of 9 but could be easily resized if desired. the jade plaque centerpiece, including the gold frame, measures approximately 1 1/2" tall and 5/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting or to the carved jade plaque.
