Art Deco 14kt Synthetic Sapphire + Diamond Cluster Ring 2.25ct center
An absolutely stunning synthetic sapphire and diamond ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in 14kt white gold and adorns an octagonal shaped sapphire at the center of a diamond encrusted border. The sapphire has fantastic cornflower blue color and an approximate weight of 2.25ct and is encircled by a border of sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds, which collectively have a total approximate weight of 0.60ctw. The sparkling stones create a lovely scalloped edge that perfectly compliments the center stone, and fine milgrain details throughout the centerpiece add a wonderful feminine touch. Finishing the design is a smoothly polished band that tapers slightly towards the back, and stamped inside of the shank are several hallmarks including a "585" gold purity mark and two maker's marks. A beautiful and feminine ring, it would look perfect worn on special occasions, or it would make a spectacular gemstone engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7 but could be easily be re-sized. The sapphire and diamond centerpiece measures about 5/8" tall, 1/2" wide, and rests a little more than 1/8" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting. The sapphire and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
