Art Deco Carnelian & Rock Quartz Crystal Bead Necklace
A beautiful carnelian and rock quartz crystal necklace from the late Art Deco era (ca1930)! The necklace is comprised of a strand of graduating carnelian beads, which are separated by faceted rock crystal spacers. The carnelian is rich and warm in color, exhibiting beautiful shades of sunset orange and deep cherry. The faceted rock quartz crystal spacers are lovely and add a delicate sparkle! All of the beads are hand strung on white thread and meet at a sterling spring ring clasp in the back (stamped "925"). When worn, the necklace drapes beautifully at the neckline. It would make a wonderful everyday accessory!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 18.5" long. The largest bead at the center measures approximately 14mm in size. The smallest beads at the ends measure 7mm in size. Each faceted rock quartz crystal spacers measure between 4mm - 5mm in size.
Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to any of the beads or spacers, which are all intact and securely strung. The sterling spring ring clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
