Art Deco Carved Ivory Link Bracelet with Painted Floral Motif
An unusual and beautiful bracelet from the Art Deco (ca1930) era! This lovely bracelet is made of hand-carved ivory, which forms oval-shaped rings that overlap at the center. Each double link is connected by small silver rings in between, forming a flexible bracelet that wraps comfortably around the wrist. Decorating the surface of each ivory link is a hand-painted floral motif, complete with red flower petals and gold leaves. The bracelet fastens with a secure push clasp at the end, which is stamped "SILVER" on the back. Delicate and feminine, this unique bracelet would make a special everyday accessory!
Measurements: The bracelet measures 6 3/4" long and would fit nicely on an average/medium sized wrist. Each double oval link measures about 1" tall, 7/8" wide, and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the carved ivory links or hand painted design. The silver findings have been oxidized, giving them a blackened appearance that contrasts beautifully with the natural color of the ivory. All of the links are secure, and the push clasp is in good working condition.
