Art Deco Chinese Silver & Carved Carnelian Bracelet
A lovely carnelian bracelet from the Art Deco (ca1930s) era! This beautiful Chinese bracelet features multiple carnelian links and spacer beads, all of which are set in silver. The natural carnelian stones display a rich, deep orange color and translucent quality. Each link is hand carved with a textured motif that reflects the bracelet's Chinese origin. Four prongs grasp the oval shaped plaques at the sides, and double rows of carnelian spacer beads rest in between. Completing the design is a push clasp disguised within the final link. A safety chain provides additional security when worn. A very artistic bracelet, it would make a lovely everyday piece!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7" long, and would fit nicely on an average sized wrist. The carved oval links measure approximately 1" tall, 3/4" wide, and 1/4" thick. The spacer beads measure between 1/8" to 1/4" in size.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting. The carnelian links and beads are intact and free of significant chips or scratches. The push clasp and safety chain are secure and in good working condition. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver setting, which is a normal characteristic of vintage jewelry.
