Art Deco Gold-Filled Chinese Vinaigrette Earrings
A wonderful and unusual pair of vinaigrette earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! These fabulous gold-filled earrings are rather substantial in size and have a lovely design that reflects their Chinese origin. Each earring hangs from a decorative round topper attached to a simple earring wire. Each barrel-shaped vinaigrette has exquisite wirework detail completed with an applied floral motif. Both vinaigrettes easily unscrew, making it possible to put a desired scent-soaked cloth inside. A very artistic pair of earrings, they make a unique statement when worn!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2 3/4" long. Each barrel-shaped vinaigrette is 7/8" tall and 3/4" wide and thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is good. There is some minor damage to one of the gold filled earrings, which is not noticeable when worn. The vinaigrettes twist open easily and screw shut securely.
