Art Deco Gold-Filled Rock Quartz Chandelier Earrings
A dramatic pair of chandelier-style earrings from late Art Deco (ca1930) era! Each of these gorgeous earrings is comprised of faceted rock quartz crystal rhondelles held within a lovely gold-filled setting. The surmounts are formed by a stack of two rock quartz discs riveted to a gold-filled back. Below the surmounts are three rows of rhondelles that sparkle beautifully in the light. Braided strands of chain hang from the bottom in a tassel-like design, finished off with a row of rock quartz discs at the end. The earrings are quite substantial in size and have wonderful movement, framing the face beautifully when worn. The screwbacks allow them to be worn on pierced or unpierced ears, however they could be easily converted to posts or wires if desired. An outstanding conversation piece, they make a beautiful statement and would complete any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 3 3/4" long, measure approximately 3/4" at the widest point, and are slightly more than 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold-filled setting or to the the rock quartz crystal plaques, all of which are all intact. The screwbacks are secure and in good working condition.
