Art Deco Large 14kt Onyx & Diamond Ring
A bold and unusual onyx ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This stylish ring is made of vibrant 14kt yellow gold and is quite substantial in both size and appearance. The ring has a square-shaped onyx face, which is flat on the surface and curved around the sides and shoulders of ring where it meets the gold band. Riveted into the center of the onyx is a gold disc that holds a single sparkling diamond in a bezel setting. The onyx has a rich black color and a glossy, smoothly polished finish that pairs perfectly with the bright gold setting! Stamped inside the shank is "14K" and the stamp "585", now only partially visible due to normal wear. A fantastic Art Deco era piece, it makes a bold statement when worn, and is perfect for the fashion forward woman!
Measurements: The ring has a large finger size 7.25 but could be resized if desired. The onyx plaque face measures slightly more than 1/2” wide and tall, and rests 1/4" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the onyx stone, and the diamond is intact.
