Art Deco Large Sterling Silver & Crystal "Buttercup" Earrings
A stunning pair of crystal earrings from the Art Deco era (ca1930s)! Each of these large, dazzling earrings features a gorgeous rock quartz crystal held within a decorative sterling setting. The extra large crystals are beautifully faceted, giving the surface a lovely light-catching quality when worn. Multiple prongs grip the crystals within a stylish "buttercup" setting, which is open in the back, allowing the light to pass through. They hang from simple earring wires at the top, and hang just below the ear when worn. Substantial in appearance, but comfortably lightweight, these outstanding vintage earrings would look perfect worn daily or on special occasions!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1" long from the top of the wire to the base of the setting. The crystals and surrounding buttercup borders measure 5/8" in diameter and are 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or wires/ Both crystals are intact and free of chips or scratches.
