A stunning opal necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This gorgeous necklace is comprised of a strand of opal beads, which are split in the center and separated by faceted rock crystal discs. The smoothly polished opal cabochons display a range of shimmery iridescent colors in light shades of lavender, light blue, pale green, violet, soft pink, yellow, and white. Alternating with the opal links are faceted rock quartz crystal beads that serve as spacers in between, adding a lovely light reflecting quality! The beads are all strung on white thread, and the necklace fastens with a simple spring ring clasp in the back. The soft, elegant color variation of the beads make this necklace look simply lovely when worn. A very feminine piece, tt would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The overall length of the necklace is 20". The largest bead, which is in the center of the strand, measures approximately 1/2" long and is approximately 1/4" thick. The smallest bead measures 3/8" wide and 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is good, with all beads and spacers intact and securely strung. The clasp is secure and in good working condition. There is some minor surface wear to a few of the opal beads, including a few tiny chips and scratches, however they are minor and not noticeable when worn.
