Art Deco Platinum Diamond + Aquamarine Briolette Teardrop Earrings
A breathtaking pair of aquamarine earrings from the Art Deco (ca1930s) era! Each platinum earring dangles a large aquamarine briolette below a sparkling diamond surmount. The aquamarines display a wonderful pale blue color, and are faceted on both sides for a light catching effect! Each teardrop link is capped in platinum, and lined with delicate rose cut diamonds. Completing the design are platinum toppers set with a trio of old Mine Cut diamonds. The diamond accents deliver a spectacular sparkle, the perfect compliment to the impressive gemstone design. On the back of each surmount is a simple platinum post and secure earring back. When worn, the earrings frame the face beautifully and dangle with lovely movement. They are quite outstanding in person and would look extraordinary worn on special occasions!
Measurements: Each earring hangs 2 3/8" long. The teardrop briolette links measure 1" long, and are 5/8" wide and 3/8" thick at the base.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or earring posts and backs. The aquamarine briolettes display some subtle natural inclusions and some minor surface wear, but have no significant chips, scratches, or cracks. The diamonds are intact and securely set. A small rose cut accent diamond has been replaced, restoring the earrings to their original design.
