Art Deco Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring 0.91ct
A gorgeous diamond engagement ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! This stunning platinum ring holds a sparkling 0.91ct old European Cut diamond at the center. The diamond is prong set and has I color and VS2 clarity. A cluster of diamonds decorates both shoulders of the ring in a unique fashion. Four of the stones are baguette cut diamonds, which weigh approximately 0.16ctw combined and the remaining two diamonds are single cut stones, which weigh approximately 0.06ctw combined. All of the accent stones that decorate the mounting have G-H range color and VS range clarity. An airline is visible from the side of the ring, which extends to a smooth and simple band in the back. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA certified gemologist in November 2016 and has a stated retail replacement value of $8,400.00. When worn, the ring is quite radiant and has a beautiful and unique shape. It would make a very special vintage engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of scant 6.5, but could easily be resized up or down as desired. The center stone rests approximately 3/16" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or diamond stones, all of which are intact and securely set.
