Art Deco Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring 1.06ct
A gorgeous diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! A stunning old European Cut diamond is prong set at the center of the beautiful platinum mounting. The center diamond weighs 1.06ct, and has I color and VS2 clarity. Set within the shoulders of the ring are an additional 6 accent cut diamonds, which add further sparkle to the stunning design. The mounting displays exquisite filigree details, complete with fine wirework, shapely cutouts, and elegant hand engraved accents. Stamped on the inside of the shank is "PLAT." Accompanying the center diamond is a Diamond Dossier Report issued in June 2017 by GIA (Gemological Institute of America), which conforms the diamond's stated characteristics. An incredibly beautiful ring, it would make a special vintage engagement piece!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 6.25, but it could be re-sized. When worn, the center stone rests about 1/4" above the finger. The tapered band measures 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. There is some light fading to the original engraving along the back of the band, which is not uncommon due to age. However, the minor surface wear does not detract from the beauty of the design, and could be restored if desired.
