Art Deco Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring 1.64ct
A spectacular diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This stunning ring is hand crafted in platinum, framing a gorgeous Brilliant Cut diamond at the center. The stone weighs approximately 1.64ct and has I color and VS1 clarity. It rests in a bezel setting and is surrounded by an intricate filigree mounting. The artistic design is complete with lacy cutouts, swirls and flourishes, fine milgrain, and hand-engraved details. The decorative shoulders taper in at the back, extending to a smooth and simple band. Stamped inside the shank is "IRID. PLAT" and the initials "JKD." The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified gemologist in September 2016 and has a stated retail replacement value of $22,000.00. Measurements: The ring has a small finger size 5.25, but can be resized if needed. The diamond and filigree centerpiece rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum filigree setting. The diamond is intact and securely set, and remains free of surface chips or scratches.
