Art Deco Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring .75ct
A gorgeous diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This beautiful platinum ring frames a sparkling old European Cut diamond at the center. The bezel set diamond weighs approximately 0.75ct, and has J color and VS1 clarity. Lining the shoulders of the mounting are 6 accent diamonds, which collectively weigh .40ctw, and have H-I range color and VS range clarity. Elegant hand-engraved details travel along the sides and edges of the mounting, and fine filigree cutouts along the edge add a swirled, lacy appearance. At the back is a tapered band, which is stamped "10% IRID. PLAT" beside a small hallmark inside. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA certified Graduate Gemologist in July 2017, and has a stated retail replacement value of $5,000.00. The ring is simply stunning in person, and would make a very special vintage engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a large finger size 8.25, but could be resized if desired. The diamond rests approximately 3/16" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
