A stunning pair of diamond and sapphire earrings from the late Art Deco (1930s) era. Crafted in platinum, each earring displays eight sparkling diamonds and two vibrant sapphires, all resting within fine milgrained bezel settings. The earrings feature one old Mine Cut diamond post surmount which each have an approximate weight of 0.27ct. Dangling from the diamond topper is a pattern of six smaller stones, two vivid sapphires and a larger final diamond which is teardrop in shape. The six smaller central diamonds have a total approximate weight of 0.23ctw per ear, and the luxurious Rose Cut diamond at the base weighs approximately 0.75cts. The natural blue kite-shaped Step Cut sapphires differ very slightly in size, with one weighing 0.30ct and the other 0.21ct, giving each earring a combined total of 0.51ctw. The sapphires exhibit a gorgeous deep blue hue which pairs perfectly with the combination of sparkling multi-cut diamonds. Collectively between each, the earrings have a total overall diamond weight of 2.50ctw with G-I range color and SI1-I1 range clarity. The links are hinged together to form a straight but flexible design, allowing the earrings to beautifully frame the face, catching the light with every turn. They are an incredible statement piece and would make a timeless addition to any collection.
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 1 3/4" long and 1/4" at their widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the sapphires and diamonds are intact and securely set. The earring post and back are secure and in good working order.
