Art Deco Platinum Old Rose Cut Diamond + Opal Ring
A stunning opal and diamond ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This fabulous piece is crafted in platinum and features a lovely opal cabochon bezel set at its center. The opal has an alluring quality and a vibrant multitude of colors that vividly flash in the light, including hues of reds, yellows, blues and greens. Surrounding the middle stone is a double frame of two rows of old Rose Cut diamonds, the sparkling design carrying onto the shoulders of the ring where there are 6 additional diamonds. On the underside of the ornate mounting is a scrolled wirework design and fine milgraining can be found bordering the sparkling diamonds. It's a gorgeous piece and would make a wonderful everyday piece or a stunning and unique gemstone engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7 but it could easily be re-sized. The opal and diamond centerpiece measures approximately 1/2" wide and 5/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and the opal and all of the diamonds are intact.
