A lovely amethyst necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This stunning piece is comprised of 96 graduating amethyst beads, which are hand strung on silver chain. The beads display a lovely purple color, and are beautifully faceted for a light-catching quality. At the back of the strand is a sterling spring ring clasp, though the generous length of the necklace allows it to slip comfortably on and off overhead. A beautiful and easy to wear piece, it would make a versatile addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 32" long. The beads graduate in size, with the largest center bead measuring 13mm in size, and the smallest beads measuring 6mm in size.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the amethyst beads or to the silver chain. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition.
